William C. Wolverton | William C. "Bill" Wolverton was born in Delanco in 1902 and attended local schools. He joined the US Navy at age 18 and was selected for the Navy Band in WWI. He also served in the US Army in WWII and was active with veterans’ organizations after the war. He worked in Delanco as a special officer for the police force. He joined Washington Fire Co. becoming a Life Member and Recording Secretary. He was also active on the Delanco Zoning Board, Board of Health, and Board of Education.
